A look at the work.
Completed projects across interiors, organization and events — the process, the transformations, and the thinking behind them.
Mediterranean Kitchen & Dining Room Redesign
A kitchen and dining refresh inspired by the warmth and character of Mediterranean interiors — built around natural textures, earthy tones and timeless materials, without a full renovation.
Color palette: Warm whites, creamy neutrals, natural wood tones, terracotta and muted earthy accents create a soft, sun-washed palette with subtle contrast throughout.
Read the full project story
Materials & finishes: Limewash-inspired walls for soft texture and movement, restored existing cabinetry with a refreshed finish, natural wood accents and open shelving, a custom statement range hood as a warm architectural focal point, stone and ceramic-inspired finishes, and a mix of vintage-inspired and curated decorative pieces.
In the kitchen, select upper cabinetry was removed and replaced with open shelving to make the space feel lighter and more intentional. The custom hood became a defining feature, while restored cabinetry helped transform the room without the need for a complete renovation.
The adjoining dining space carries the same palette and materials through, creating a natural transition between the two rooms. Layered textures, warm finishes and carefully sourced pieces bring in the relaxed, collected feeling that defines Mediterranean design.
The result is a space that feels warm, lived-in, timeless and thoughtfully curated — showing how impactful design can come from working creatively with what already exists.
Mediterranean Bathroom Refresh
A bathroom design centered around warmth, texture and earthy character — inspired by natural materials and Mediterranean influences, aiming for a space that feels elevated and intentional while staying organic and lived-in.
Color palette: Warm burnt brick, creamy neutrals, natural wood tones and soft earthy accents inspired by terracotta and Mediterranean interiors — a deeper wall color adds warmth and drama while neutral finishes keep the space balanced.

Materials & finishes: Portola Paints Merida Lime Wash, warm burnt-brick and terracotta tones, soft neutral finishes for contrast, natural wood elements, organic textures and decorative accents, and simple, timeless fixtures to balance the richness of the walls.
The Merida Lime Wash by Portola Paints became the defining feature of the room. Its naturally varied finish creates subtle highs and lows in color, giving the walls movement, texture and an aged, organic quality that traditional paint wouldn't achieve.
Rather than overwhelming the smaller space, the rich color gives the bathroom its identity. Paired with warm neutrals and natural materials, the finished space feels earthy, intimate, textural and full of character.
Primary Bathroom Styling & Finishing Touches
A fully renovated primary bathroom brought to life through thoughtful styling and carefully curated finishing touches — modern décor, warm textures, greenery, artwork and functional accessories layered in to complement the existing finishes and soften the space.
The final result feels polished yet inviting — a relaxing, spa-like retreat that balances elevated design with everyday functionality.

Family-Focused Laundry & Entryway Transformation
As this family grew, their home needed to grow with them. The project began by reimagining how two existing spaces were being used, switching their functions to better support the family's everyday routines. Both spaces were refreshed with a cohesive paint palette, thoughtful organization, and practical storage solutions.
The laundry area was designed to make daily tasks more efficient, while the adjoining entry space became a functional drop zone for shoes, bags, towels and other family essentials. Existing pieces were repurposed where possible, with new organizational elements added to give everything a designated place.
The result is a more intentional, consistent and functional flow between the spaces — designed around the realities of a busy, growing family while still feeling warm and pulled together.
Kid's Playroom
This basement was transformed into a functional, organized playroom designed specifically for the client's 3- and 5-year-old children. Thoughtful storage solutions were incorporated to encourage independent play while making everyday cleanup simple and manageable.
The result is a playful, practical space that supports creativity while keeping organization and functionality at the forefront.
Staircase Refresh
Material & finishes, project coordination. Rather than replacing the staircase, this project focused on transforming an existing feature through thoughtful color, refinishing and contrast — giving it a cleaner, more intentional look that complements the surrounding interiors.
A warm, neutral palette was selected to create a soft transition between floors — Behr Even Better Beige adds warmth and depth to the lower portion of the staircase, while First Snow keeps the upper level feeling bright and fresh. The wood treads were refinished with a warm stain selected to complement the surrounding floors, and natural wood grain was preserved throughout for added warmth and character.
The result is a simple yet impactful transformation that feels warmer, brighter and more cohesive — proving that thoughtful finish selections can completely refresh a space without starting from scratch.
Roosevelt Medical Center
Design coordination, project management and hands-on organization for a full medical office build-out — from early planning through final installation. The project spanned color palette and finish selection, organizing and transitioning the previous office, and coordinating contractors, vendors and timelines to bring the new space to life.
Scope of work: Color palette, finishes and overall aesthetic · organizing and streamlining the previous office ahead of the move · planning and coordinating the new office setup · contractor, vendor and service provider communication · project timelines, scheduling and installations.
The result is a professional, cohesive and welcoming medical office — built out with the same care for organization and flow as a residential project, at a commercial scale.
Sunrise Cellars — Storefront & Interior Refresh
As project manager for Cherry Home Designs, coordinated the full transformation of Sunrise Cellars (formerly ShopRite Wines & Spirits) inside and out — from a full exterior repaint and custom hand-lettered signage to a reconfigured store layout and a brand-new guest lounge.
On-site painting team oversight, paired with a local hand-lettering artist — The Point to Point (Aaron) — brought to recreate the storefront signage with a custom, handcrafted finish.
The interior layout was reconfigured to improve flow and functionality, with a dedicated lounge area designed to give guests a welcoming spot to browse. Custom lounge signage graphics carried a cohesive visual identity throughout the refreshed space, tying the new storefront branding to the interior experience.
From coordinating vendors to developing the functional and creative details, the role was to help bring the overall vision to life — start to finish.
Valles Wedding — Day-Of Coordination
Full day-of coordination for Samantha & Andres's wedding at Liberty House in Jersey City — one of New Jersey's most popular wedding venues — ensuring a smooth, stress-free celebration from ceremony through send-off. Final details were locked in with the couple a few weeks out — timeline, run of show, vendors and décor — so that on the wedding day, every detail was already accounted for.
On the day, setup followed the finalized plan — working alongside venue staff, confirming floral arrangements were placed correctly, and staying on hand throughout as the point of contact for any questions, so the wedding party could stay present in the moment. Vendor payments and tips were handled on-site, and the run of show was reviewed with the DJ ahead of the reception.
After the reception, the event was fully broken down and organized so the couple had an easy, stress-free transition when it came time to pack up and head out.
Emily & Conas Wedding — Day-Of Coordination
Full day-of coordination for Emily & Conas's wedding at Folino Estate Winery in Kutztown, PA, managing the wedding-day timeline, vendor communication, décor and table setup, seating chart, and ceremony-to-reception transitions so the couple and their guests could enjoy a seamless, stress-free celebration.
On the day, setup followed the finalized plan — coordinating vendor arrivals, styling the barrel-wall backdrop and floral arch, placing table centerpieces and the seating chart display, and staying on hand throughout as the point of contact so the couple could stay present in the moment.
Behind-the-scenes details, ceremony and reception transitions, and vendor communication were all managed start to finish for a smooth, stress-free celebration.
Virtual Design Concept Boards
A sample of concept boards created for virtual design clients — each one shared alongside a full shopping list of every piece shown, so clients can shop and style the space themselves.
Every virtual design project includes a full shopping list of the exact pieces shown — furniture, textiles, lighting and finishes — so clients can bring the concept board to life at their own pace.
Meet Sara.
I'm Sara Ramos, founder of Sara Jean Creative Studio — a New Jersey-based creative studio bringing intention to spaces, systems and events. As the first woman in my family to build a business, I'm proud to create with heart, and my goal is to help you feel heard, supported and confident bringing your vision to life.
My work lives at the intersection of creativity, organization and project management. Through the studio's three pillars — Spaces, Systems and Events — I help clients transform their ideas into environments and experiences that feel intentional, functional and distinctly personal.
That belief comes from experience: a Bachelor of Business Administration in Visual Merchandising from LIM College, followed by a career spanning visual merchandising, interior design and creative project management — including roles with brands like Macy's, IKEA, Avon and FILA, and most recently residential and commercial design project management across medical offices, hospitality and retail spaces.
My personal design style is warm, layered and intentional, often influenced by earthy colors, natural materials, collected details and Mediterranean-inspired character. But my purpose is never to make every project look like my personal style — it's to uncover and refine each client's own vision, creating a result that feels authentic to their life, needs and story.
I created this studio for people who have a vision but need support bringing it together — for those who feel overwhelmed by decisions, unsure of where to begin, or simply ready for a thoughtful creative partner.
Read My Full Story
My love for design began long before the studio had a name. I have always been drawn to the way colors, materials, furniture, lighting and small details can completely shift how a space feels. I'm equally fascinated by the systems behind beautiful outcomes — the planning, communication, schedules, sourcing and problem-solving that turn an idea into something real. That combination of creativity and structure has shaped every part of my career.
My background in visual merchandising continues to influence the way I approach interiors and events today. I naturally think about composition, balance, movement, color, scale and the way someone experiences an environment from one moment to the next. I don't simply select beautiful items — I consider how every element works together to tell a cohesive story.
My experience in e-commerce and digital merchandising gave me another layer of perspective. Managing product assortments, site presentation, launches, imagery, inventory and customer journeys strengthened my attention to detail and taught me how to create experiences that are both visually compelling and easy to navigate. Although the setting may be different, the philosophy remains the same: thoughtful design should guide people naturally, communicate clearly and make the overall experience feel effortless.
Across every service, collaboration is at the heart of my process. I believe the best results come from understanding how a client wants to feel — not simply what they want something to look like. I take the time to listen, ask questions and understand the priorities behind the project. Some clients arrive with a fully developed vision, while others only know that something is not working. Both are welcome.
My role is to bring clarity to the process, organize the moving pieces and help transform ideas into a plan that feels approachable and achievable. I value honest communication, thoughtful recommendations and solutions that reflect the client rather than a passing trend. Every project is approached with care, curiosity and intention — no matter the scale, the details matter, the process should feel supported, and the finished result should feel unmistakably yours.
What can I help you bring to life?
You don't need every detail figured out. Tell me what you know, what feels challenging, and what you hope to create — I'll help you determine the next step.
